We use high grade pine and add a darkwalnut stain with a clear coat for protection. These floating shelves are designed to hold 5 bottles laying down and 15 glasses. The shelf above the glasses make a great shelf for pictures or other decor.

We predrill holes in the back panel for easy installation. I recommend using dry wall anchors and black screws
